Composition algebras | Quadratic forms | Historical treatment of quaternions
In mathematics, a composition algebra A over a field K is a not necessarily associative algebra over K together with a nondegenerate quadratic form N that satisfies for all x and y in A. A composition algebra includes an involution called a conjugation: The quadratic form is called the norm of the algebra. A composition algebra (A, ∗, N) is either a division algebra or a split algebra, depending on the existence of a non-zero v in A such that N(v) = 0, called a null vector. When x is not a null vector, the multiplicative inverse of x is . When there is a non-zero null vector, N is an isotropic quadratic form, and "the algebra splits". (Wikipedia).

Composition of Functions (with variables)
This video focuses on composition of functions. In this video, I teach students how to evaluate a composition of functions by plugging one function into another function. I demonstrate how to use parenthesis, so that one can stay organized and obtain a precise solution. Your feedback and

Compositional game theory is an approach to game theory that is designed to have better mathematical (loosely “algebraic” and “geometric”) properties, while also being intended as a practical setting for microeconomic modelling. It gives a graphical representation of games in which the flo

Abstract:This is a joint work in progress with A. Auel. Let S be a geometrically rational del Pezzo surface over a field k. In this talk, I will show how the k-rationality of S is equivalent to the existence of some semiorthogonal decompositions of its derived category. In particular, the
