Exceptional object

Many branches of mathematics study objects of a given type and prove a classification theorem. A common theme is that the classification results in a number of series of objects and a finite number of exceptions — often with desirable properties — that do not fit into any series. These are known as exceptional objects. In many cases, these exceptional objects play a further and important role in the subject. Furthermore, the exceptional objects in one branch of mathematics often relate to the exceptional objects in others. A related phenomenon is exceptional isomorphism, when two series are in general different, but agree for some small values. For example, spin groups in low dimensions are isomorphic to other classical Lie groups. (Wikipedia).

Proof: Supremum and Infimum are Unique | Real Analysis

If a subset of the real numbers has a supremum or infimum, then they are unique! Uniqueness is a tremendously important property, so although it is almost complete trivial as far as difficulty goes in this case, we would be ill-advised to not prove these properties! In this lesson we'll be

Teach Astronomy - Symmetry

http://www.teachastronomy.com/ A lot of fundamental concepts in physics are based on the idea of symmetry. Symmetry is familiar to us in an aesthetic sense. It often means things that have pleasing proportion, or look the same from every direction, or have a harmonious nature about them.
