Euclidean geometry | Theorems in plane geometry
The intercept theorem, also known as Thales's theorem, basic proportionality theorem or side splitter theorem is an important theorem in elementary geometry about the ratios of various line segments that are created if two intersecting lines are intercepted by a pair of parallels. It is equivalent to the theorem about ratios in similar triangles. It is traditionally attributed to Greek mathematician Thales. It was known to the ancient Babylonians and Egyptians, although its first known proof appears in Euclid's Elements. (Wikipedia).

How to find the x and y intercept on an linear equation
http://www.freemathvideos.com In this video series I show you how to find the x and y intercept of an equation. We do this by understanding that the x-intercept occurs when the y value is zero and the y-intercept occurs when the x value is zero. When given an equation to find the x and y i
