Autoimmunity
Autoimmunity is a condition that arises when the immune system loses its ability to distinguish between 'self' and 'non-self,' a critical failure of immunological tolerance. Consequently, the body's defense mechanisms mistakenly target and attack its own healthy cells, tissues, and organs as if they were foreign pathogens.
