Intersection classes of graphs
In graph theory, an intersection graph is a graph that represents the pattern of intersections of a family of sets. Any graph can be represented as an intersection graph, but some important special classes of graphs can be defined by the types of sets that are used to form an intersection representation of them. (Wikipedia).
What is an Intersection? (Set Theory)
What is the intersection of sets? This is another video on set theory in which we discuss the intersection of a set and another set, using the classic example of A intersect B. We do not quite go over a formal definition of intersection of a set in this video, but we come very close! Be su

What are Connected Graphs? | Graph Theory
What is a connected graph in graph theory? That is the subject of today's math lesson! A connected graph is a graph in which every pair of vertices is connected, which means there exists a path in the graph with those vertices as endpoints. We can think of it this way: if, by traveling acr

Topics in Combinatorics lecture 11.6 --- Two applications of Shearer's lemma
In the previous video I stated and proved Shearer's entropy lemma. Here I give two applications. The first provides an upper bound for the number of triangles a graph with m edges can have. The second is an upper bound for the size of a family of graphs with vertex set {1,2,...,n} if the i
