In mathematics, an annulus (plural annuli or annuluses) is the region between two concentric circles. Informally, it is shaped like a ring or a hardware washer. The word "annulus" is borrowed from the Latin word anulus or annulus meaning 'little ring'. The adjectival form is annular (as in annular eclipse). The open annulus is topologically equivalent to both the open cylinder S1 × (0,1) and the punctured plane. (Wikipedia).
Linear Algebra: Continuing with function properties of linear transformations, we recall the definition of an onto function and give a rule for onto linear transformations.

Derivatives are the main object of study in differential calculus. They describe rates of change of functions. That makes them incredibly useful in all of science, as many models can be expressed by describing the changes over time (e.g. of physical quantities). However, the abstract defin

Phase space representation of the billiard in an annulus
This video shows phase space representations of billiards in annular regions, obtained by moving a smaller circle inside a larger one. Phase space representations are a tool widely used by mathematicians to analyze the dynamics of mathematical billiards. This representation allows to obta
