8-polytopes

1 42 polytope

In 8-dimensional geometry, the 142 is a uniform 8-polytope, constructed within the symmetry of the E8 group. Its Coxeter symbol is 142, describing its bifurcating Coxeter-Dynkin diagram, with a single ring on the end of the 1-node sequences. The rectified 142 is constructed by points at the mid-edges of the 142 and is the same as the birectified 241, and the quadrirectified 421. These polytopes are part of a family of 255 (28 − 1) convex uniform polytopes in 8-dimensions, made of uniform polytope facets and vertex figures, defined by all permutations of rings in this Coxeter-Dynkin diagram: . What are four types of polygons

👉 Learn about polygons and how to classify them. A polygon is a plane shape bounded by a finite chain of straight lines. A polygon can be concave or convex and it can also be regular or irregular. A concave polygon is a polygon in which at least one of its interior angles is greater than 1

Why aren't 51, 57, and 91 prime? They're semi-prime! Featuring @shane_duffy

I've talked before about my favorite "non-prime but seem like they should be prime numbers" and @shane_duffy asks here why some of them seem so…off-putting. The secret is that although they aren't prime, they are semi-prime. Semi-prime numbers are those numbers that have exactly two prime
