Classification algorithms | Least squares | Statistical classification
Least-squares support-vector machines (LS-SVM) for statistics and in statistical modeling, are least-squares versions of support-vector machines (SVM), which are a set of related supervised learning methods that analyze data and recognize patterns, and which are used for classification and regression analysis. In this version one finds the solution by solving a set of linear equations instead of a convex quadratic programming (QP) problem for classical SVMs. Least-squares SVM classifiers were proposed by Johan Suykens and Joos Vandewalle. LS-SVMs are a class of kernel-based learning methods. (Wikipedia).

Least squares method for simple linear regression
In this video I show you how to derive the equations for the coefficients of the simple linear regression line. The least squares method for the simple linear regression line, requires the calculation of the intercept and the slope, commonly written as beta-sub-zero and beta-sub-one. Deriv

Support Vector Machines Part 3: The Radial (RBF) Kernel (Part 3 of 3)
Support Vector Machines use kernel functions to do all the hard work and this StatQuest dives deep into one of the most popular: The Radial (RBF) Kernel. We talk about the parameter values, how they calculate high-dimensional coordinates and then we'll figure out, step-by-step, how the Rad
