Neutron-related techniques

Powder diffraction

Powder diffraction is a scientific technique using X-ray, neutron, or electron diffraction on powder or microcrystalline samples for structural characterization of materials. An instrument dedicated to performing such powder measurements is called a powder diffractometer. Powder diffraction stands in contrast to single crystal diffraction techniques, which work best with a single, well-ordered crystal. (Wikipedia).

Refraction (1 of 5) What is Refraction? An Explanation

Refraction, A conceptual qualitative explanation. Refraction is the change in direction of a ray of light as it passes from one medium to another. The amount of refraction is determined by the index of refraction of the media and the angle of incidence. For light, refraction follows Snell
