Perspective projection | Infinity | Projective geometry
In geometry and topology, the line at infinity is a projective line that is added to the real (affine) plane in order to give closure to, and remove the exceptional cases from, the incidence properties of the resulting projective plane. The line at infinity is also called the ideal line. (Wikipedia).
This video provides a description of infinity with several examples. http://mathispower4u.com

Definition of infinity In this video, I define the concept of infinity (as used in analysis), and explain what it means for sup(S) to be infinity. In particular, the least upper bound property becomes very elegant to write down. Check out my real numbers playlist: https://www.youtube.co

Touching Infinity: It's Not Out of Reach
The conventional way to represent the Real Number system is to think of the numbers as corresponding to points along an infinite straight line. The problem is that in this representation there is no place for "infinity". Infinity is not a real number. This video shows an alternate visua

NUMBERS - secrets of Math. Mathematics is shrouded behind a veil and does not easily reveal itself. Students resort to rote memorization of math formulas to solve problems in a boring exercise of the mind that is also repetitive. However, if you knew the history of mathematics, the way the

Heat Equation on Half-Line In this video, I solve the heat equation on the half line by using a clever method called odd extensions. The idea is to extend the solution to the whole line (for which we have a solution), and then restricting our solution back to the half line. This is mathem

Calculus - Limits involving infinity
In this video I'll cover the limits that involve infinity. These include if the value of x is approaching infinity, as well as if the function is approaching infinity. We'll also see how this leads to a great way to describe asymptotes. For more videos please visit http://www.mysecretma
