Conformal geometry

Conformal gravity

Conformal gravity refers to gravity theories that are invariant under conformal transformations in the Riemannian geometry sense; more accurately, they are invariant under Weyl transformations where is the metric tensor and is a function on spacetime. (Wikipedia).

Conformal Field Theory (CFT) | Infinitesimal Conformal Transformations

Conformal field theories are used in many areas of physics, from condensed matter physics, to statistical physics to string theory. They are defined as quantum field theories that are invariant under so-called conformal transformations. In this video, we will investigate these conformal tr

What Is Gravity?

People have a lot of different ideas about what gravity is: a downward force that stops you from flying off into space, an attraction smaller objects experience towards larger objects, or a mutual attraction between all masses. It is the last of these ideas that best reflects a scientific

Fluids: Specific Gravity, An. Explanation

Specific gravity is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a given reference material. Water is often used as reference substance. If the substance has a specific gravity less than 1 then it will float in the reference substance. If the specific gravity is great than 1 t
