Jack (geometry)

In geometry, a jack is a 3D cross shape consisting of three orthogonal ellipsoids. Sometimes four small spheres are added to the ends of two ellipsoids, to more closely resemble a playing piece from the game of jacks. Sometimes any 3D cross shape, consisting of cylinders, boxes or lines instead of ellipsoids, are also included. (Wikipedia).

Geometry: Introduction to the Polygon (quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon and more)

Learn the definition of polygon - a very important shape in geometry. When a polygon has a small number of sides, there is a word you use instead of "polygon". We teach you the names of polygons with 3 to 10 sides. To learn more Geometry, you can watch our playlist from the beginning:

Solving The RIDICULOUSLY Difficult Jack Puzzle!!

Today I'm going to attempt to solve the Jack puzzle by Craighill. This puzzle is comprised of six different notched brass bars that interlock in one specific way to create a unified "jack" shape. It's exactingly milled by a skilled machinist in Wisconsin, and it weighs one pound. It's
