Midy's theorem

In mathematics, Midy's theorem, named after French mathematician E. Midy, is a statement about the decimal expansion of fractions a/p where p is a prime and a/p has a repeating decimal expansion with an even period (sequence in the OEIS). If the period of the decimal representation of a/p is 2n, so that then the digits in the second half of the repeating decimal period are the 9s complement of the corresponding digits in its first half. In other words, For example, (Wikipedia).

Triangle Midsegment Theorem

I introduce and work through many examples involving the Triangle Midsegment Theorem. When a segment connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle, that midsegment is half the length of the third side and also parallel to that third side. EXAMPLES AT 1:05 10:42 13:55 Find free review

Triangle Midsegment Theorem - Geometry

This video focuses on how to use the Triangle Midsegment Theorem. In particular, I teach students how to use the concept that the segment formed by connecting two midpoints is parallel to the third side and half as long. This concept is used to find the perimeter of a triangle formed by co
