Graph families | Graphs

Gallery of named graphs

Some of the finite structures considered in graph theory have names, sometimes inspired by the graph's topology, and sometimes after their discoverer. A famous example is the Petersen graph, a concrete graph on 10 vertices that appears as a minimal example or counterexample in many different contexts. (Wikipedia).

Graph Theory: 05. Connected and Regular Graphs

We give the definition of a connected graph and give examples of connected and disconnected graphs. We also discuss the concepts of the neighbourhood of a vertex and the degree of a vertex. This allows us to define a regular graph, and we give some examples of these. --An introduction to

Intro to Directed Graphs | Digraph Theory

What are directed graphs, or digraphs as they are often called? We introduce digraphs and some related terms in today's graph theory lesson! A directed graph is like a simple graph, except the edges of a digraph have - you guessed it - direction! Thus, we will see we need to use ordered

Histograms & Frequency Polygons in SPSS (4-7)

A histogram is a type of graph – very similar to a bar chart – that easily shows us the shape of the distribution. Histograms can show us if the data are bimodal, with two major peaks. We see skewness (such as positive skew), kurtosis (how peaked or flat the distribution is), which also sh

Correlation Scatterplots – Graphing Correlation Data (13-4)

Before we calculate a correlation to see if two variables are linearly related, it is a good idea to look at a picture of our data. We do this using a scatterplot. A scatterplot is used to graphically display correlational data. The relationship between the variables is depicted with dots
