Commutative diagram

In mathematics, and especially in category theory, a commutative diagram is a diagram such that all directed paths in the diagram with the same start and endpoints lead to the same result. It is said that commutative diagrams play the role in category theory that equations play in algebra. (Wikipedia).

Commutant of Complex Matrix

Matrix Theory: Let A be an nxn matrix with complex entries. We show that the commutant of A has dimension greater than or equal to n. The key step is to show the result for the Jordan canonical form of A.
