Trigonometric substitution

In mathematics, trigonometric substitution is the replacement of trigonometric functions for other expressions. In calculus, trigonometric substitution is a technique for evaluating integrals. Moreover, one may use the trigonometric identities to simplify certain integrals containing radical expressions. Like other methods of integration by substitution, when evaluating a definite integral, it may be simpler to completely deduce the antiderivative before applying the boundaries of integration. Deconstructing a messy integral | Trig subs & u-subs combined

When faced with a messy integral, we need to come up with a strategy to deconstruct it. In this example, we do a u-sub to make it look like something we can tackle with a trig sub, and then another u-sub to tackle the final integral. This is the first time we do an example with x=sec(theta
