Topology | Mathematical terminology
In mathematics, an N-topological space is a set equipped with N arbitrary topologies. If τ1, τ2, ..., τN are N topologies defined on a nonempty set X, then the N-topological space is denoted by (X,τ1,τ2,...,τN).For N = 1, the structure is simply a topological space. For N = 2, the structure becomes a bitopological space introduced by J. C. Kelly. (Wikipedia).

Metric space definition and examples. Welcome to the beautiful world of topology and analysis! In this video, I present the important concept of a metric space, and give 10 examples. The idea of a metric space is to generalize the concept of absolute values and distances to sets more gener

Topological Spaces: The Subspace Topology
Today, we discuss the subspace topology, which is a useful tool to construct new topologies.

Topological spaces and manifolds | Differential Geometry 24 | NJ Wildberger
We introduce the notion of topological space in two slightly different forms. One is through the idea of a neighborhood system, while the other is through the idea of a collection of open sets. While this is all reasonably traditional stuff, regular viewers of this channel will not be surp

Said Hamoun (2/23/23): On the rational topological complexity of coformal elliptic spaces
We establish some upper and lower bounds of the rational topological complexity for certain classes of elliptic spaces. Our techniques permit us in particular to show that the rational topological complexity coincides with the dimension of the rational homotopy for some special families of

MAST30026 Lecture 13: Metrics on function spaces (Part 2)
I discussed pointwise and uniform convergence of functions, proved that the uniform limit of continuous functions is continuous, and used that to prove that Cts(X,Y) is a complete metric space with respect to the sup metric if X is compact and Y is a complete metric space. Lecture notes:

What is a Manifold? Lesson 4: Countability and Continuity
In this lesson we review the idea of first and second countability. Also, we study the topological definition of a continuous function and then define a homeomorphism.
