Diagonal subgroup

In the mathematical discipline of group theory, for a given group G, the diagonal subgroup of the n-fold direct product G  n is the subgroup This subgroup is isomorphic to G. (Wikipedia).

Subgroups abstract algebra

In this tutorial we define a subgroup and prove two theorem that help us identify a subgroup. These proofs are simple to understand. There are also two examples of subgroups.

Block Diagonal Matrices

Every operator on a finite-dimensional complex vector space has a matrix (with respect to some basis of the vector space) that is a block diagonal matrix, with each block itself an upper-triangular matrix that contains only one eigenvalue on the diagonal.
